  If you're not accustomed to chatting on IRC, MSN or MMORPG chat channels, you may find yourself confused by what seems to be common parlance for the inhabitants of EVE chat channels. This article explains some of the terms specific to MMORPGs and EVE in particular and lists common abbreviations. • Haulers
  Industrial class ships (also: indy, indies) or the pilots flying them. This class of ships can be flown by relatively unexperienced pilots with the relevant skill and have an exceptionally large cargohold.
• Owning
  Also: pwning, to pwn. If you blow something to bits and feel it didn't have a chance, you 'owned' it. Ganking is a form of owning, but more limited, since it only applies to dealing damage and blowing stuff up. Owning generally applies to anything at which you could be better than someone else.
• Podding
  To pod. The act of blowing someone up, if they were in a pod. Getting blown up in any ship will cause a pilot to auto-eject in a pod. Getting blown up in a pod is the equivalent of PlayerDeath in EVE and will cause the pilot to revert to a clone. Podding is also the only way to claim a bounty on a pilot. Just blowing up his ship won't do.
