The EVE Universe has an ever-increasing number of mining turrets and methods of mining. These are listed below by the most obvious grouping.
Basic Mining Lasers
These are basic mining lasers and are good for extracting all common ores but are not as fast as Tech 1 Mining Lasers. They are listed in order of mining amount.

Deep Core Mining Lasers
Deep Core Mining Lasers are the only lasers in the game able to mine Mercoxit ore, but cant be activated on any other asteriod. The Tech 2 laser is an exception to this as it can fit mining crystals to mine any type of ore.

Strip Miners

Ice Harvesters
Ice Harvesting Lasers are the only lasers in the game capable of mining the massive ice fields throughout eve but can only be fitted onto Mining Barges. The Duration of these lasers is reduced by the skill Ice Harvesting.
