Skill: Broker Relations (Trade)

Rank 2 - Primary Attribute: Willpower - Secondary Attribute: Charisma
Proficiency at driving down market-related costs. Each level of skill grants a 5% reduction in the costs associated with setting up a market order, which usually come to 1% of the order's total value. This can be further influenced by the player's standing towards the owner of the station where the order is entered.

Description

When setting up market buy or sell orders, players must pay a broker's fee of 1% (modified by other factors listed below). The broker relations skill reduces this by 5% per level of the skill. At level I, the fee is 0.95%, at level V it is 0.75%.

Availability

Available at schools in Empire space. Price: 100,000 ISK.

Tips

Broker's fees are a little more complex than sales tax; they are influenced by a player's standing with the corporation owning the space station in which the market order is made. Brokers have a minimum fee of 100ISK, so orders with a value of less than 10,000 ISK will not be affected by this skill.
